SMS txt was (Your account will be permanently locked unless verified) then web site https:// etc, please click the link. This is definitely a scam !

If you don't know what to do, here's a bit of information.
If you see any phone number from an overseas country, chances are 100% it is a scam.
Any Australian phone number you don't know, let the call go to the message bank (if you have one).
Same with any SMS or MMS. Do not answer the call or open the SMS or MMS, just block and delete.

Preview stated that my QANTAS Frequent flyer points are soon expiring.
Am able to block the number & delete text without having to open the SMS. Scammers like it when you open their text messages as it gives them the receipt that your number is viable to on-sell.
Not this time.

Be Aware of the number that sends you the text (+91 prefix is India) Sent a message saying that my qantas points were about to expire and that I could exchange my points for a gift card. Its a fake offer, its a system to get your credit card details.

I received a txt message informing me that my Qantas FF Points are about to expire! This information is false as I don't have any FF points and haven't had any for over 5 years.

This number sent me a threatening message saying it was from MyGov wanting to get me to hit on a link. SPAM!

Is this a scam? They are saying my Qantas points are about to expire

Received message from this number today advising that my Qantas rewards balance must be used within 2 days and can be swapped for a digital supermarket voucher with a link encouraging to enter.

Called once, I didn't pick up ( was suspicious )

Tried to call me on my computer on Face Time, have no idea who or what they are. Just lucky i was not near the computer at the time. BEWARE all unknown callers.

Multiple missed calls from this number over several days. This qualifies as harassment.

This number says they are Qantas and that all my qantas points - 12,000 + are about to expire. They also sent me a link inviting me to use them up. The link appears false.

This is very realistic with perfect grammar. I was almost fooled.

Telling me to click a link to mygove threatening to block my account if I don't.

Received text pretending to be MyGov. Remember that MyGov will never text you external links.

I received a text message "LAST CHANCE this week! Your 18,621 Points will expire on 17/04." it then continues on , it looks to be "associated" with QANTAS but directs you to a maketplace link. I blocked and deleted it.

I received a text message claiming to be from MYGOV they provided a link to hit to read the message

Received a text message from this number, supposed to be a message from myGov informing me that my account was going to be closed if I didn't hit on the link. I didn't.

SMS claimed I would be permanently locked out of MyGov if I didn't click on the link provided to verify. This seemed very dodgy - the number seems to have come from outside Australia

Call from China, warning me that my PayPal account had been compromised. He jumped to information about my IP. My advice, hang up.

I am not waiting for any call from that country, therefore I have blocked it.
